A bit about the owner & how the showroom/studio came to be..

Hello, I'm Jean Burton. 

When not working on the business, I prefer to spend my free time with my husband, our teenage son and dogs. I have an extensive collection of indoor plants (oops! that may actually be a "problem" according to my family) and love gardening and all types of art/crafts projects. If I'm not outside or trying to create/craft something I can be found reading, assembling LEGO kits and playing the occasional video game, I recently started to re-learn how to ride motorcycles - it's a long story, and I may be re-arranging the furniture.. again. lol!

With over 20-years experience as an Interior Designer and in flooring/surfaces sales, I have had the opportunity to visit mills and see how the products we work with are made.  I have developed a unique perspective and the knowledge, connections and resources to help guide fellow designers to the proper materials selections for their projects.

I enjoy finding solutions and problem solving in a creative yet practical way and I especially love collaborating with my colleagues on projects! 

In 2004 Odino Designs began as interior design services and then in 2019 developed into a to-the-trade only showroom/studio space carrying on the specialized services in carpet & area rugs that started with long time friend and colleague, Arthur Barry Designs. Expanding on product offerings and hosting training seminars fill my need to empower local interior design professionals.

Odino Designs, LLC - To-The-Trade ONLY showroom is woman-owned and serving the Portland Metro areas and beyond.

Odino Designs, LLC showroom is a great space to work through your materials selections process, present to a client or just come by for inspiration!

Collaboration and community are why I continue to be a part of the local Portland Chapter of the Interior Design Society and Columbia River Chapter of the NKBA. It also helps keep my connection with the local design community. ;)
