When not working on the business, I spend time with my best friend/husband, my young son and three dogs. We enjoy camping, motorcycle riding, working on yard projects and hanging out with friends and family.
My love of spatial design and textiles began as a young child, sewing clothes for my Barbie dolls as soon as I could hold a needle and thread, and re-arranging my room and parts of the house (when my parents allowed!) in order to make the spaces feel good and function better.
A few career changes later I discovered the world of Interior Design and haven't looked back!
Odino Designs, interior design services, was established in 2004, and incorporated in 2007, and in 2019 developed into a resource space with specialty services and product lines for the Interior Design trade.
With over 15-years experience as an Interior Designer and in flooring/surfaces sales I had the opportunity to see how the products I work with are made. I have a unique perspective and the ability to relate to my design client's needs and the knowledge and resources to help guide fellow designers to the proper materials selections for their jobs.
Collaborating with long-time friend and colleague, Barry of Arthur Barry Designs, prior to his passing gave me the opportunity to get more directly involved with textiles again. I am proud to be able to carry forward his legacy of service as a designer resource and continue to offer this fine collection of carpet and area rugs to the local design trade.
I enjoy finding solutions and problem solving in a creative yet practical way and I especially love collaborating with my colleagues on projects!
Being an active board member and part of the local Portland chapter of the Interior Design Society (IDS) has also been a wonderful means for me to keep in touch with fellow designers and local vendors to stay on top of the trends
and design challenges we face today.
